What Minn. Stat. §504B.177 requires
- Maximum fee: 8% of the overdue rent
- Grace period: None — the lease sets it
- Lease requirement: the fee must be authorized in the written rental agreement — an unauthorized fee is uncollectible.
- The 8% cap applies no matter what the lease says — a higher figure is unenforceable
- The fee must be agreed to in a written lease
